I’m Rae, and Nel's Attic is my business, where I create a wide collection of unique curiosities that are cozy, functional, and decorative. Working with fiber is therapeutic, calming, and comforting in texture and the process. I love the ability to continue old techniques that have been passed down through history and combine new techniques of this current age. Crocheting was an old self-taught hobby that I picked up again during a time of seeking calm for nervous energy, and I haven’t put it down since. It has developed into more than I could have imagined years ago. I eventually picked up punch needling and now combine both mediums in my creations. I make plushie keepsakes, wall decor tapestries, functional kitchen and bath items, along with wearables, jewelry, bookmarks, and stitch markers. I am ever grateful to be able to create and share it with others.
